Washington Nationals Information

Washington Nationals

The Washington Nationals are a professional team of baseball established in the year of 1969 and based in Washington, D.C since 2005. The name of the team has been derived from the two former Washington baseball teams and the nickname is “the Nats”. The Nationals are the member of the Eastern Division of the National League of MLB also it is as expansion franchise. They played their home games at Jarry Park Stadium and after that at Olympic Stadium. The National never played in a World Series but they won divisional championships.

The Manager of the team is Jim Riggleman and has six coaches playing in the team. The colors of the team are red, navy blue, gold and white. In the second year in Washington Team has struggled very hard to attract fans with attendance averaging in the middle of the league.

The latest of this season 2010 is the 6th season for the American baseball franchise of Major League baseball in the District of Columbia, and it is the 42nd season since the original team was started in Montreal, Canada. The team moved into the newly-built Nationals Park in 2008 after playing their first three seasons. The team has a very big fan list and all excited to see the success of their best team.
